35 years experience as a financial services professional including real estate, general securities, investment banking, capital formation, corporate development, institutional money management and financial publishing. Mr. Johnson started his career in 1979 as a realtor and Vice President of Sun Investments, Inc, a large residential, commercial and investment focused real estate brokerage in Southern California. In the 1980s, Mr. Johnson relocated to Dallas and founded and sold several oil and gas exploration and development companies before beginning his career in general securities in 1987. He has been President and Chief Compliance Officer of three FINRA (then NASD) Member firms, and has owned branch office franchises of three national FINRA Member Firms. He has been CEO and CCO of two SEC Registered Investment Advisor firms where he managed private equity funds including the first exclusively dedicated to investing in China. Mr. Johnson has also been an editor and financial publisher with, at the time of circulation, one of the largest opt-in readerships in the industry. He has personally published over 50 articles and papers, has been a frequent speaker at international investment conferences, has provided expert commentary in multiple media channels and has been quoted in major international publications. Mr. Johnson has maintained multiple registrations including Realtor, Registered Investment Advisor, General Securities Principal and Financial and Operations Principal.
