In 2012 while I was installing a large tile floor late into the evening, my back ached, my knees hurt and my wrist and arm were numb from supporting my upper body all day. I worried about how long I would be able to continue in a trade that required I go through so much physical pain in order to do the job well. I thought as workers we needed an additional arm that centers on our chest that supports the weight of the upper torso while we apply out trades. 10 years, 16 versions and 3 patents later, the Back UP is ready for duty.

In 2018 I started my own residential construction company in West Seattle. Westside Exteriors is focused on providing a great customer service experience from start to finish.
