About MeWhen I was 10 years old, my dad asked me to accompany him on a speaking assignment. I remember the adrenaline rush, shaking hands, quivering voice as I stood in front of an audience of 200+. Little did I know this speaking assignment marked the beginning of a lifelong fascination with communication. As an instructor of Communication Studies, my academia journey is defined by a passion for public speaking, university teaching, and helping others develop interpersonal and business communication skills.ExperienceI am a Senior Lecturer/Academic Professional at the University of Wyoming. With 20+years of experience. I specialize in teaching a diverse range of courses, including Public Speaking, Business/Professional Communication, Nonverbal Communication, Interpersonal Relationship Communication, and a Practicum of College Teaching. I have taught 150 classes to over 2100+ students. I developed a course addressing speech anxiety, empowering individuals to conquer their speaking fears. Individuals applying class techniques have presented presentations in the classroom, community, and at National Conferences. I have presented 100+ guest lectures to classrooms and community groups on public speaking, presentation tips, anxiety techniques, and interpersonal issues. Beyond the classroom, I serve as Director of the Oral Communication Center. In this capacity, I assist clients in developing, organizing, delivering presentations and nurturing effective communication habits.
