Reporting to the CTO as one of 3 Technology Directors managing Technology across the Global enterprise.Accountable for Engineering services and strategy for Web, Infrastructure and Service Management.Leading Travelopia's Technology response to COVID-19 through enhanced remote working, team consolidation, automation of processes and functions and significant operational spend reduction. Managing teams with over 40 staff in USA, Canada, UK, Europe and India - covering Service Desk, Service Management, Infrastructure Projects & Operations, Web Development and Engineering.

Reporting to the Travelopia Group CTO, to establish and grow Travelopia's Central Engineering capabilities and culture,particularly in Cloud, Data, Integration, Web, CRM and Test Automation. As Enterprise Architecture consultant for Macmillan I delivered the following:Researched, agreed and published Macmillan’s Enterprise Architecture principles.Set out the Enterprise Architecture requirements and supported the 2016 budget and project planning process.Defined planned and begun to implement steps to mature and grow Macmillan’s Enterprise Architecture functionLead on scoping and arranging Security Review and Penetration Testing with new security partner.Provided main point of contact with major suppliers/partner organisations to define joint roadmaps.Set out the EA requirements for the 2016 planning process - people, processes and tools.And I was also contracted to deliver the following additional non-EA outputs:Draw up a complete list of BI tools currently used within Macmillan – primarily, but not exclusively within the Fundraising, Evidence, Digital and IT Teams. As Practice Lead for the Projects & Services function I was responsible for design, implementation and delivery of managed services across several public sector customers in the areas of Information Assurance & Security, IT Service Management and Service Integration, Technical Architecture and Design, Technical Project and Programme management and Business analysis and change.Achievements:Created and implemented policies, standards, templates reports for both external and internal management of managed services. Templates and processes I developed are in place across all current service lines.Grown the size and capability of the managed service function from 1 to 8 permanent staff over 6 month period as well as 30+ associate contract staff to resource our 10+ service lines across 5 customers. Won, implemented and managed 4 new service lines across 3 customers, to a combined value of over £3m per annum revenue, controlling the bid management, proposal, service commercials, contract signing and set-up and ongoing management of the services.Managed the delivery of services, ensuring regular reporting, financial management and business relationship management, and delivery of service outcomes to agreed time, quality and cost KPIs, and where possible reducing cost, increasing quality and timeliness of service to our customers.Provided service innovation and added value by leveraging contacts and experiences from across multiple organisations. Built a network of partner organisations to help improve our service capabilities.Created scope, recruited and managed team to implement an in house SIAM for a 600 seat public sector organisation. Digital Borders was the successor to the £800m+ eBorders Programme at the Home Office.My role was to establish an architecture function in the new Digital Borders project within Border Force, to implement a robust governance function and ensure secure solutions are developed on behalf of Home Office Technology and to support the development of the Alpha releases during 2014-2015, which are to follow the GDS Service Design principles. Technologies covered: Atlassian Confluence / Jira, Skyscape IL2 / IL3 IaaS, JavaAchievements:Created architecture governance function for Digital Borders and integrate to wider Programme and IT authority functions.Recruited civil servants to replace long-term contractor subject matter expertsEstablished common collaboration platform for the programme using Atlassian ConfluenceProvided cloud-based development environments for digital/agile development team.

I was promoted into a new role and led a team within the Home Office that created and implemented strategies for systems integration and networking using PSN compliant solutions. During the last 3 months of 2013, I was seconded to provide infrastructure and security architectural support to the Border Systems Options Review project, developing a report which laid out how Border Systems can adopt the new Government Security Classification.Achievements:Produced Network Strategy for Home Office aligned with Home Office Technology strategy and the wider UK Government ICT strategy.Gained approval senior business and technology stakeholders of Networking strategy and supported this by organising the creation of Principles and Standards for Networking.Identified and procured a professional services supplier to quickly and efficiently research and create principle, standards and roadmap strategies for the network servicesProduced and gained approval for Strategy, Approach and Principles for Systems Integration within the Home Office. Introduced into 2 major programmes.Authored a review document summarising the stakeholder and legislative/governance requirements for information security within a proposed new digital Borders programme.

ICW was a £350m+ Home Office Programme.As part of my role I provided delivery management of the Home Office IT (HOIT) service team of 30 technical architects, test analysts and security consultants, within a major UKBA business change programme. I chaired the Programme Technical Design Authority (TDA) and was part of the Programme Senior Leadership team.Technologies covered: Oracle RDBMS, CA SiteMinder, WebLogic, AD, SAML 2.0, RHELAchievements included:Line and matrix managed staff to ensure that HOIT services were delivered at the right time and with the correct level of quality and cost to the UKBA ICW Programme. Completed and produced an Information Security review on the programme and services produced by the programme this fundamentally changed the risk management approach to the programme, reduced complexity and ongoing cost.Researched and developed the approach to systems and continuous integration that the programme needed to adopt in order to become a more agile programme.Created and managed annual budget for provision of HOIT services to the programme at a cost of £2.5m per annum.Delivered and managed an early life support function for 3 new services.

I ensured that processes, methods and templates were in place to provide ITIL v3.0 service design assurance to Home Office projects. I also took the role of Lead Service Design architect on the UKBA ICW Programme, and in addition provided Technical Architecture assurance to major Home Office projects including UK Border Agency as well as central Home Office systems. Achievements included:Created alignment between service transition and technical architecture functions through production of process workflows and swimlanes.Production and successful implementation of a Service Design Package operating a end-to-end service solution across 4 service partners and 2 development partners using differing support contracts and processes..Arranged and provided technical input to CAB and Service / Security Operations functions.Supported service operations function during major incidents.

Delivered roadmaps for Security Technology (AV, Firewalls, NAC, Encryption)Implemented an Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) using the ISO27001:2005 & ISO27002:2005 Industry Standards.Became the focal point for IT security within G4S in the UK.Directed, defined implemented and had audited Information Security Strategy across 6 UK & Ireland regional business units.
