I am the regional practice lead for Fox Rothschild's Labor & Employment Department in Atlanta, where I frequently defend against administrative claims before the EEOC and the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as employment lawsuits in the state and federal courts. I'm also an experienced business litigation attorney, including claims involving allegations of fraud and fraudulent billing practices in the health care and real estate industries.My recent experience includes:• Saved millions of dollars by abating tax penalties imposed by the IRS for alleged violations of the Affordable Care Act;• Assisted businesses with strategies for shuttering and restarting operations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic;• Successfully defended discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblower lawsuits as well as administrative charges before the EEOC and NLRB;• Convincing a court to order my client’s former employees to stop using stolen computer code to establish a competing business;• Complete defense victory against my client’s former employee who claimed to be contractually entitled to millions of dollars as a minority shareholder in the business that fired him;• Successfully resolved numerous lawsuits filed under the Fair Labor Standard Act;• Drafted employment contracts, noncompete and nondisclosure agreements, handbooks, policies, and employee payment plans;• Trained managers and employees concerning sexual harassment, disability discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environments, and other similar issues.I also focus on certain aspects of privacy law, internet forensics, and related litigation. I have successfully represented businesses and individuals in lawsuits involving wrongdoing over the Internet, including defamation, computer hacking, identity theft, cyber bullying, and the theft of trade secrets.
