His career trajectory has spanned every major phase of the commercial aerospace industry’s recent transformation. From the sector’s early progress in producing more frequent, higher-quality Earth observation imagery data from space, to the miniaturization of satellites, to catalyzing advances that provide modern spacecraft with unparalleled levels of control and maneuverability, Jarvis has anticipated and led efforts at some of the industry’s most influential companies, including Planet Labs, HawkEye 360, Phase Four and Trimble Navigation.In 2013, Jarvis was recruited by Earth observation startup Planet Labs to be its first dedicated sales executive. As Vice President of International Sales, Jarvis was tasked with revenue generation for the raw earth imaging data collected by Planet's initial nanosatellite constellation. Jarvis was later recruited by HawkEye360 to be the company’s first Chief Revenue Officer. HawkEye is at the forefront of new data and analytics with its radio frequency geolocation satellite constellation. More recently in his career, Jarvis was recruited by early investors to be CEO of Phase Four, an in-space mobility company, to commercialize the technology and mature the company from seed stage through Series B venture financing. During his time as CEO, Jarvis executed a strategy to focus on the nascent, and now rapidly expanding, small satellite sector. He oversaw the maturation of Phase Four’s technology along with multiple generations of its commercial spacecraft engine for small satellites. This included clean sheet to space product development in under two years, double digit flight unit deliveries, a number of projects with defense and intelligence entities in the US government and several thousand hours of successful on-orbit operations.
