Gilbert.Eric Clifford Gilbert worked as a carpenter and joiner on Burton Lane, what is now Oaks Road, Great Glen and from time to time would be required to make a coffin. It was from these humble beginnings that his funeral business developed alongside his joinery work. His youngest son Fraser Gilbert has continued to develop the business along with his wife Elizabeth, sister Margaret and later his daughter Jenny. We are a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and subscribe to its current Code of Practice. We aim to act in a professional manner and provide a courteous, sensitive and dignified service to you which will help you through this most difficult time.
