Godefroy Beauvallet is presently General Manager of Mines Paris - PSL, a French leading engineering graduate school and research center, part of Université Paris Sciences & Lettres. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of AFNIC, the internet registry for .fr, .paris, .museum and other TLDs. He sits on the Boards of Ecole Polytechnique, and of the French Television National Archive operator, INA (Institut National de l'Audiovisuel), and is an Associate Professor at Télécom ParisTech.Previously, he was HRD of "corps des mines", the leading engineering talent pool for the French public administration, chief of staff of Christophe Sirugue, minister of industry, digital affairs and innovation, and députy chief of staff of Michel Sapin, minister of economy and finances. Before that, he was Head of Innovation of Institut Mines Telecom, a leading French group of engineering and management universities. He also was Vice-President of the French National Digital Council (http://www.cnnumerique.fr). Previous positions include Head of P&C Product Design & Ecosystem at AXA, Head of the AXA Research Fund, Chief Financial Officer of the Institut Telecom, deputy manager of the department of Economics, Management, Human and Social Sciences of Télécom ParisTech (ENST) and e-Government adviser of Michel Sapin, French minister for public administration and reform. Godefroy worked in the French public sector and in business on both academic and operational projects. His research interests include the relationship between IT and efficiency, the lean enterprise, e-Government and collective intelligence. He has experience in telecommunications sector regulation for the French government and management of IT projects at interministerial level. Godefroy Beauvallet has written four books which focus on lean management, the efficient use of IT, sociology of science and technology, the management of projects with heavy IT content. He has also published various articles on aspects of IT use.
