Growing into this role from the previous workshop assistant position, I coordinated the production process for made-to-order and custom high-end lighting pieces. This involved managing and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of local and international manufacturers while maintaining high quality standards over multiple simultaneous projects.The other part of this multi-faceted role was the dispatch of local and international orders, the assembly and packaging of all lighting and some furniture products as well as the training of new team members..AccomplishmentsGuided production of small custom pieces and large project roll-outs during the manufacturing difficulties and supply shortages that arose during COVID lockdowns in Melbourne. Was a crucial part of transitioning the business to a new inventory management system. Updated and implemented the assembly teams' QC processes ensuring that the team supported each other in delivering consistent quality.I hand-textured and finished lighting pieces that were featured in Milan Design Week.
