Capturing data from outreach activities, workshops, oral and video histories, events and exhibitions. Working with marginalised communities in areas of deprivation, young creative trainees, community oral history trainees, deaf people and a group of regional museums to understand the impact of collecting, interpreting, sharing and archiving stories of women from across the region. I work in a wide range of materials to suit the commission, specialising in lightweight pieces designed to be used outdoors featuring willow, fabric, paper, fibreglass, lighting etc. Many projects include community collaboration, or training young artists. In personal practice, I am a skilled fine bookbinder trained by Peter Jones with awards from the Designers Bookbinders annual competition.
