It was in an unexpected place that I found inspiration for my next step in my career. Whole Foods has taught me irreplaceable interpersonal skills and efficiency, as well as about sustainability in the world we in which we live. My inspiration came fundraising for one of their programs, the Whole Planet Foundation. I learned not only about this global and local micro financing program and others like it, but also how to explain and discuss it with customers.In addition to this, Whole Foods has given me experience with upholding high standards of customer service, ordering supplies, and providing support to my team. As a supervisor, I helped maintain efficiency and troubleshoot as a new register system was being piloted in our store the first few months of 2015. I co-led the preparation of our department for 2016's Whole Planet fundraiser, including marketing, sign requests and team member education. As a cash office specialist, I perform bookkeeping duties for the store, including balancing tills and safes, and ordering and depositing with the bank. I have often been entrusted with the role of shift leader, overseeing closing procedures and ensuring smooth operation of the store.

As the intern for WPD - Nepal, I performed office work, including but not limited to writing articles, compiling the annual newsletter and drafting the quarterly report on the organization's programs. I also provided support to the Executive Director during field visits with the assessment of effectiveness of programs, and helped with social media engagement and photography.
