As a clinical program manager I work to direct, manage, develop, create, and implement community programs for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and their families. I manage the Mountain West Parkinson's Initiative through creation of education and community events, fundraising and development, and community outreach. I work one on one with patients and their families to create care plans, managing family dynamics, learn about grief and loss, and provide health education. In addition, collaborate with the Utah Department of Health to manage their Parkinson's Disease Registry and work to foster programmatic connection for those living with Parkinson's Disease.

I am 200 hour yoga alliance certified. I work to create a space for students to explore their mind body connection through planning, creating, and implementing weekly classes. I also coach and mentor students who move through our teacher training program.

I provided individual counseling for students, staff of faculty at the University of Utah either weekly or bi-weekly using Feminist Multicultural Therapy and other evidence based models . Additionally, I oversaw sliding scale payments, client notes the electronic medical record system, and participated weekly client consultation through supervision. I co-facilitated a Weekly Support Group around understanding the body and its connection to our socio-political climate. I also mentored five freshman/ transfer students who participated in the Gender Justice Scholars program while also, co-leading the Go-Girlz program at an elementary school to help foster education resilience in girls from underserved areas through individually created lesson plans and psycho-social support.

I provided psycho-social services for individuals and families diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington ’s Chorea, and Tourette’s Syndrome using short term crisis intervention models. I educated families and individuals about their diagnosis by providing resources for patients, sharing knowledge and creating plans for proactive care with doctors and other medical specialists. I co-facilitated a Huntington’s monthly support group to help facilitate community and support for individuals and family members diagnosed with HD. I directed, planed, and executed multiple fundraisers.

I provided psycho-social services for individuals and families diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, Varying types of dementia, Huntington’s Disease, and Tourette’s using evidenced based family and group psycho-therapy models and care planning. I educated families and individuals who have been newly diagnosed, helped them discover and use resources, created family care plans, and understand disease specific information, while working with doctors to execute prescribed actions. I co-facilitated Huntington’s monthly support group to help facilitate community and support for individuals and family members diagnosed with HD. In addition, I attended and participated in meetings for the Utah State Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias to work towards shifting legislation.
