Engagement Officer
CurrentThe SECU Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization funded by the contributions of SECU members, to help identify and address community issues and promote local and community development in North Carolina primarily through high impact projects in the areas of education, housing, healthcare and human services. I started at the Foundation as a program officer, supporting SECU's scholarship and educational programs including the People Helping People high school and community college scholarships, the Bridge to Career continuing education program, and the SECU Public Fellows Internship program. I also help support with grant proposal review preparation and community outreach across the state. As engagement officer, I support outreach and engagement efforts with grantees and partners, engage the Board of Directors in events and opportunities, plan and facilitate events hosted by the Foundation, and collaborate with marketing and communications to share the Foundation's story and impact.
