Key Account Executive
CurrentFrom February to October 2024, I was the account manager for Gardners, covering for a maternity cover. I led monthly customer meetings where I presented all titles across DK Adult, Travel and Children's as well as all Sourcebooks imprints also. I also organised DK's first regional bookseller event with Gardners which took place in Leeds. I was in charge of DK and Sourcebooks' presence at the Gardners Trade Show, liaising with Gardners, as well as internal parties to plan stock, additional marketing materials, the stand design. I also took on the Children's Fever Pitch for the BA conference the following day. During this time, we had an annual business review for which I did all the data analysis, compiled information and imagery of how we currently support them and analysed potential further growth opportunities with them. In addition, I work with our marketing department on our relationship with bookshop.org considering our title strategy, how this plays into our overall UK independents strategy, as well as the consumer focused marketing we could achieve via their resources. I presented quarterly highlights, with additional marketing opportunities we could offer especially for bookshop.org.As of October 2024, I am the account manager for Peters, Askews, Browns Books for Students, Scholastic and Haven, acting as the education and library focused head for the UK Sales Team. I work with internal teams to discuss how best to support libraries during the current difficult economic crises, as well as what extra offering we can give for schools. I lead quarterly meetings with all of them, as well as working with marketing teams on customer side as well as internally to support their sell-through as well as promote the various brands within the DK umbrella. I assess our current title range, and for Scholastic in particular, I assess custom opportunities, liaising with editorial teams on how to create a bespoke product best suited to their needs and customer base.
