  • Trade2Us Ltd
    E-Commerce Assistant Manager
    Trade2Us Ltd Sep 2019 - Sep 2021
    Sheffield, England, United Kingdom
Following the expansion of the company to include an eBay store, I transferred to work in the E-Commerce department. In this role, I fulfil orders by finding, packaging and sorting for royal mail collection. I also list items according to set guidelines which includes product research, photography, title creation and pricing. Additionally, I offer customer support through email and phone calls as well as helping with shipment and product enquiries. I also oversee Loss Prevention and analytics for the store which involves the end of day counts of what was brought in, daily safe counts and investigations into stock and money discrepancies. I have created my own spreadsheets, using Excel, to streamline this process and also to identify areas in need of improvement within the company. This has led to me being part of performance reviews and taking minutes in appeals. Additionally, I help with the recruitment of new staff by selecting CV's and assisting with interviews. This role still includes everything I was doing as a supervisor. Initially, I was an E-commerce Supervisor and I was promoted in May 2020 to Assistant Manager, however, due to the pandemic I have not been able to build up my e-commerce team and allow myself to take on extra responsibilities, such as overseeing and improving the company's social media and loss prevention, as well as becoming more involved in sourcing new stock.
  • Trade2Us Ltd
    Shop Floor Supervisor
    Trade2Us Ltd May 2019 - Sep 2019
    Sheffield, England, United Kingdom
When I first started this job, the shop had yet to open up, so I was involved with the original merchandising of the shop floor and the creation of new processes. I created the testing process for each type of technology being brought in, as well as how to process buy-ins through the till system and the ID check procedure, ensuring it was in line with GDPR and would assist us with any necessary Police follow-ups. Day-to-day I would keep the shop and stock to the highest standard and deliver the best possible customer service to create a friendly and professional environment, which the goal of building up a loyal customer base which has slowly led to more business through word of mouth. I had a wide range of tasks which included: buying and selling items, testing tech, general customer service, merchandising, analysing stock and cash flow data, managing faulty returns, stock counts, change orders and following GDPR and age-restriction guidelines. I was regularly the manager on duty which required me to delegate tasks, be a keyholder, count the tills and safe, authorise refunds, outsource repairs, staff training, rota management and performance reviews. I created my own weekly stock and cash flow spreadsheet reports using Excel to analyse patterns and send a weekly email to the team reporting my findings and advising on where to maximise buys and sales and how. Addtionally, I was involved with staff recruitment, which involved meetings with management about who we wanted and then reading through applications on Indeed. I also gained experience in disciplinaries, including fair processes and minute taking.
