As a Consulting Associate in the Energy Practice at CRA I enjoyed leading project workstreams on a range of global energy projects including:- Market sizing assessment of proprietary fuel cell technology for a major multinational engineering and technology company. I led the modelling workstream, structuring the model and managing inputs and analysis. The deliverables included an in-depth report defining the market segmentation approach, presenting final results and insights across the four markets analysed, and considering investment implications for the client.​ I led model demonstrations for the client, ensuring thorough handover and confidence in how to use to model themselves.- Heat pump deployment tool and competitive landscape analysis of the UK heat pump market for an integrated utility's strategic planning. I managed the competitive landscape analysis workstream of the project and delivered a report and presentation on the state of the market, opportunities, risks and competitor behaviour.- Quantifying damages in dispute cases concerning energy companies and contract disputes in Europe, West Africa, Australia and the Middle East. Supporting the analysis, financial modelling and writing of expert reports in these cases.- Commercial due diligence concerning thermal and renewable generation assets across different European geographies, characterising the countries' electricity markets and regulatory frameworks towards those technologies. These projects included a pumped hydro asset, a smart metering company, a proposed solar farm with PPA negotiations, and an EV charging infrastructure project.

As an Associate in the Energy Practice at CRA I enjoyed working on a host of global energy projects including: - Post-acquisition transaction support and optimisation for an integrated utility in Eastern Europe, with a focus on the trading unit of the renewables generation business and retail strategy - Future portfolio modelling for a US utility toward 2050 net zero targets and other scenarios - Assessing the policy-driven cost of electrification in a U.S. state, modelling the demand profiles from the electrification of buildings and transport - Quantifying damages in dispute cases concerning energy companies and contract disputes in West Africa and the Middle East - Due diligence reports concerning thermal and renewable generation assets across different European geographies, characterising the countries' electricity markets and regulatory frameworks towards those technologiesOutside of project work I was involved in the CRA COP26 media campaign, managing the development and release of infographics, videos and other media themed around the energy transition through our 'CRA on the Energy Transition' LinkedIn showcase page. - Academically mentored Global Summer School (GSS) students during the two-week residential programme in engineering, Arduino robotics and Ultimaker 3D-printing. Increased their subject knowledge of engineering disciplines and application in practical skills through global challenges projects.- Supported projects including developing prototypes for improving 'last mile' transportation of medicines to remote locations and using robotics innovatively to enhance the quality of life of the elderly.- Pastorally looked after a smaller group of students, ensuring their well-being and program enjoyment. - Organising the 150 GSS students daily with other mentors increased my ability to work supportively within a leadership team and to manage time effectively.
