I am the Custom Content Manager for the Custom Content team at IFLScience. I produce many types of content for a wide array of industrial clients, such as eBooks, infographics, articles/listicles, animated videos and how to guides. I have also worked on news and SEO pieces for the website.I finished my iCASE PhD at the John Innes Centre, Norwich (in partnership with OXITEC), in 2019. I looked into the embryogenesis and sex determination of the cassava whitefly (Bemisia tabaci).I completed a Masters in Science at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, in 2014, for Molecular Biology of Parasites and Disease Vectors. My module choices included; Research Methods in Parasitology and Vector Biology, Human Parasitology and Vector Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology of Parasites and Vectors, Vector Population Biology and Control, Bioinformatics and Snake Venom.My dissertation was on 'Resistance profiling and Blood Meal analysis of mosquitoes collected in Banfora, Burkina Faso.' This 4 month project required me designing a project, going to Burkina Faso, organising a team of research technicians to help collect samples, performing standard and newly developed bioassays and molecular work. It helped highlight my adaptive qualities, specifically laboratories in a West African country. My Dual Honours Bachelor of Science degree was at Keele University, where I achieved a 2:1 in Human Biology and Forensic science.
