I am a trained biochemist with strong interest in cellular mechanisms related to and triggered by host-pathogen interactions. During my PhD and postdoctoral work, I have been characterising the host cell entry mechanisms of human papilloma- and polyomaviruses. Further, I have been working with organotypic raft cultures in the context of human papillomavirus infections. During my Postdoctoral stay in Umeå, Sweden, I started working on Adenoviruses and intestinal organoid cultures in infection settings. Recently, I expanded my experience of virus infections to work in BSL3 facilities and Chikungunya Viruses. I am a dedicated and experienced researcher, who can adapt to new topics and techniques quickly. I enjoy scientific thinking and discussion as well as teaching and collaboration with fellow undergraduate and PhD students.
