I have enjoyed a long-term career in the technology space, building teams and delivering initiatives for many different industries, including communications, fintech, healthtech, manufacturing, NFP, recruitment, retail, and technology consulting. The combination of my passion for people, and their engagement and growth, and a broad technical understanding across many disciplines, has helped me to develop a niche in building and leading these delivery teams.The teams that I have the privilege to lead get things done – efficiently and often. I pride myself on operating with empathy and respect in all my interactions, and the people that I have had the privilege to lead over the years testify to the impact that my leadership, and focus on their well-being and growth, has had on them.Over the past decade or so I have found great satisfaction in working with product-led, design-influenced, data-driven, software engineering teams, and have tremendously enjoyed leading collaborative efforts across marketplace, SaaS, browser-based, and even desktop application products. Like many in our industry, teams I have been a part of have been made-up of local, national, and international colleagues. I have enjoyed the richness and wealth of insight that comes from working globally, and with people from diverse backgrounds – both in person and remotely – across these distributed teams.I find that clearly articulated objectives are the key to successful delivery. As a result, I give the utmost focus to collaborating with product leaders and other key stakeholders to define clear strategic outcomes for my teams. Once we know what we are trying to achieve, I empower my teams to make decisions about the how and get out of their way - coaching them to develop their own roadmap for delivery and success. And then they deliver.
