I'm Erin, and I run Spondee Studio, a DC-based marketing strategy + content studio that helps small and medium-sized brands drive sustainable growth.I cut my teeth providing marketing, communications, and storytelling consulting and services to a portfolio of B2B, B2C, and nonprofit US and Latam clients before spending several years in-house as a marketing leader at various startups, primarily focusing on content and brand. I was the first marketing hire at Uplimit, where I helped drive 30x YoY growth in enterprise revenue. Before that, I was director of marketing and content marketing lead at Nomadic, a SaaS enterprise learning start-up that also co-created the Josh Bersin Academy, the world’s largest HR learning community with 30k members.Outside my marketing work, I hold my MFA in writing for children and young adults, and my debut novel, Crushing It, is out now from Penguin Young Readers. This experience as a storyteller in another domain deeply informs all my work and drives my belief that a marketer's role is to consistently tell a brand story that fosters real emotion, and thus real change. Writing for young people has also inspired my cardinal rule as a marketer and a human: be real, and don't be boring.
