The point of purchase industry has changed dramatically since I joined it 30-years ago. It is that change and the opportunity to adapt to it that I find extremely satisfying. Factors including the internet and the savvy consumer have increased the necessity for brands to position themselves more effectively in an ever-growing retail environment. In my role at THINK RETAIL & DESIGN I help design, develop and manufacture point of purchase products for our customers and with my team I am 100% committed to finding the right solution for them. I enjoy the diversity of working with a range of clients (retail, beverage, cosmetics, telecommunications, pharmacy, FMCG) and with a wide range of materials and processes. One day I’ll be working on an in-store counter top display and the next the design and development of retail fixtures with lighting and digital media. A critical step to finding the right solution is to understand the problem. To understand the problem you really need to know the people and businesses involved. I have a reputation for building strong working relationships with staff, clients and suppliers by proactively investing time in them and their businesses. Respecting the interdependency of these relationships results in a shared passion and commitment to business success. As the industry and market has evolved, so too has my experience. I have specialised skills and expertise to resolve problems effectively. I’m an excellent listener, can conceptualise client’s requirements accurately and develop the critical paths required. These skills coupled with my ability to communicate effectively through the entire process means the brief is always met.
