Lecturer, Personal Tutor And Assessor
CurrentI currently work with 16-18 year old students with a range of disabilities and support needs. I have experience teaching learners with severe learning difficulties, mild- moderate learning difficulties, emotional and social support needs and those who require support with their basic skills. I have also taught dis engaged learners and those on probation. I teach or have taught a variety of subjects such as: first aid, BSC health and safety, employability, personal and social development, basic skills english and maths, Functional Skills English and ICT, citizenship, enterprise and English Speaking Board. Due to the length of time I have been teaching, some of the above mentioned subjects were not taught to a syllabus so I gave experience in writing my own. I have a level 1 qualification in sign language. I am also a first aider and have been a first aid assessor for the college. I have previously been a member of the college safe guarding team and have training and qualifications in this area.I am a grade 1 lecturer having obtaining 4 grade ones and a grade 2 over 5 years of teaching and learning observations following the Ofsted grading criteria.
