I coordinate and deliver a range of events and educational sessions for local schools and families around wildlife, connecting them to nature and inspiring them to take action for wildlife and the environment.

• Conducted daily census surveys for birds and regularly recorded moths, butterflies and reptiles.• Developed and delivered a programme of education and engagement activities to local community groups including schools, youth groups, universities and families. • Created an Education Team of 15 people.• Recruited, trained and managed Education Team.• Evaluated the conservation and educational impacts of engagement work utilising social science methodologies and qualitative and quantitative data.• Assisted in a range of surveys including WeBs, Turtle Dove Survey, BTO Ringing Scheme.• Managed data collected on surveys and used for analysis and report writing.

I worked as an Environmental Playworker at an adventure playground in Central London. Here I engaged children aged 6-18 from various backgrounds and abilities with environmental play. I began a Nature Club as part of the activities the playground offered, and we kept a vegetable garden, from which we would often pick foods and use in our meals and baking.In my time here, the Nature Club installed a pond, made a bird house, bird feeders and baths and began to build a greenhouse made entirely of old used plastic bottles and bamboo. The activities centred around "Green Facts, Green Foods and Sustainability". The aim was to ensure the children had fun outdoors, making their own decisions in which play to engage with, but to have an environmental message. I also lead several trips with a group of children, often travelling across London on public transport and therefore required good leadership and management skills. These trips included to the Big Butterfly Count and Bee Urban.

I spent 6 months as a Field Assistant for the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation. This charity works towards protecting the endemic and endangered species of Mauritius. My focus was on passerines, especially the Mauritian Cuckoo-Shrike. I spent most days monitoring this elusive bird in the forests of Mauritius, enabling translocations of individuals to ensure the population survives. I also aided projects with bird ringing, supplementary feeding and translocations and post-translocation monitoring.
