Main responsibilities include:- Navigating access to drugs for rare indications when medications are not provincially funded, including navigation of patient support programs and Special Access Program drugs- Development of protocols and preprinted order sets, policies, and treatment algorithms for inpatient and outpatient use for medical oncology indications- Presenting for physicians, pharmacists and other health care professionals to provide education on newly funded medications and policies- Providing support for various health care providers through education and consultation- Support physicians, nurses, and front line pharmacists through assistance in clinical decision making, drug information requests, adjudication of case by case review medication requests- Pharmacy lung cancer lead provincially – attend weekly lung rounds, attend lung disease site group/clinical trials meeting on a monthly basis, provide education and support to pharmacy staff on a provincial level on new lung cancer indications and questions from the front line staff- Participation in oncology advisory boards

- Specialization in hematology and adult BMT- Support physicians, nurses and other staff through assistance in clinical decision making, monitoring of drug therapy, pharmacokinetic monitoring and provision of drug information- Provision of seamless care at admission/discharge with hospital and community pharmacists

- Direct patient care on the Oncology/Hematology/BMT ward, including individualized patient care plans, monitoring of drug therapy, pharmacokinetic monitoring, medication histories, patient teaching- Provision of seamless care at patient discharge with cancer clinic hematology pharmacists and community pharmacists- Provision of drug information and education to physicians and nurses

- Completed direct patient care rotations in a variety of practice areas- Completed a research project Evaluation of the Treatment of Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT) in the Saskatoon Health Region, which included developing pre-printed order sets for argatroban and lepirudin, development of pharmacist education around pathophysiology and treatment of HIT, and evaluating the treatment of HIT in the SHR
