The Millbrook Swim Team (MST) is a competitive team that is part of the Empire State Swim League (ESSL). The team is for local children who are able to swim 25 yards through high school students. The program is designed to promote sportsmanship and healthy competition while encouraging swimmers to have fun at the same time. The team practices 3 times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at the Poughkeepise Middle School. For the past 20 years I have had the privilege of working alongside several wonderful coaches and swimmers!

During the 6 weeks of summer school I will be working individually and in groups with a diversified population of special needs students ranging in age for 5-21 to counsel and educate my students to achieve their IEP goals.

Intensive Case Services Counselor providing individualized treatment plans with Clients who are struggling with extreme barriers towards finding and maintaining employment. Working with the clients to develop a goal plan and prioritize specific needs. Responsible for weekly appointments with clients, attending mental health, medical, dental appointments, and school related meetings/appointments. Referrals for a potential client's then complete and extensive assessment to assure the client is a fit for the program. 13-week re-assessments, track the clients progress and address any new concerns. Typing of case notes and submitting quarterly reports to the Director of Social Services on the program and clients success rates. In addition to attending monthly staff meetings at BOCES and monthly case review meetings at the Department of Social Services. Workplace Skills Training program is a 50 hour Certification program funded by the Department of Social Services, providing the students with the valuable tools and education they need to better prepare them for the job market.
