Job Profile• Train, motivate and supervise a group of 4 credit analysts who focus on credit risk assessment of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.• Compile and analyze credit data and financial statements of current and potential Commercial Banking business customers to determine the degree of risk involved in the credit. Advise on accuracy of risk rating of loans based on analysis.• Provide training to the affected lending areas at Central Bank and branches, on bank policy and regulations. Develop tools, i.e. checklists, to help officers and assistants remain in compliance with policies and regulations.• Provide advice and recommendations on a daily basis to loan officers and assistants on loan related compliance questions.• Advise an individual who is responsible for ordering and reviewing valuations on real estate.• Work directly with internal and external auditors during examinations, in an effort to provide clarification and documentation resulting in the best outcome for the Bank.• Review all new commercial loans $100,000 and over for compliance with bank policy and banking regulations. Work with loan officers and assistants to correct exceptions. Report exceptions to Board of Directors.• Prepare timely and accurate Risk Management reports which documents loan portfolio performance and aids in portfolio monitoring.• Responsible for gathering required information and filing IRS forms for foreclosures and cancellation of debt. Ensure annual loan interest reporting is accurate.• Develop and enhance procedures of the commercial loan department to improve efficiencies in operations.
