I joined Bolder Options in January 2003, when I was hired to expand the structure, duration, and support services of the program. Since I have joined Bolder Options, we have more than doubled the number of youth served and I have helped develop a satellite model of expansion. I have extensive experience in building new relationships with comunity partners and collaborating to provide the best services possible. I am extremely connected in the Minnesota Community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Youth Intervention Programs Association and the University of Minnesota YMCA. I serve on a variety of Advisory Committees for the Minnesota Youth Cmmunity Connections, the Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota, the SEARCH Institute, and local groups. I believe that all programs and services should be held accountable by evaluaton and should be guided by research. I have a strong background in youth development, I have conducted research studies, and I have made multiple presentations at state, national, and international conferences. I have a BA in Child Psychology/Youth Development and an MSW from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW).Specialties: Program design, implementation, and evaluation; program expansion and replication; community collaboration, networking, and forming strategic relationships; research and grantwriting.
