Becky is a Senior Environmental Scientist in the Biodiversity, Ecosystem Knowledge and Services Program in CSIRO Land and Water. She translates and packages environmental information from a range of disciplines, so that governments, the community and industry can consider the environment more effectively in their decisions. Key current roles include:- leading CSIRO’s contribution to Land and Ecosystem Accounts Program, which is implementing the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy "Environmental economic accounting: a common national approach strategy and action plan"- leading a case study in natural capital accounting in fisheriesPast work has included:- co-designing and co-authoring biodiversity outlook report in Biodiversity Indicator Program, led by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage- one of four Senior Science Leaders in the Bioregional Assessment Programme ($62m over 5 years, >150 staff, four agencies, delivered a suite of 113 reports, thousands of datasets, and a website that visualises results from world-first integrated assessment of the impact of coal resource development on water resources)

As Research Team Leader of the Knowledge Delivery Team, Becky led a team that provided scientific and editorial quality assurance of publications from interdisciplinary projects. She was also Reporting Manager for CSIRO's Water for a Healthy Country Flagship, managing the resourcing, planning and strategy for reporting teams in interdisciplinary projects. She used her editorial, research and technological skills to:- develop standards and workflows for quality assurance - integrate knowledge from multiple disciplines - help research teams collaborate more effectively - deliver scientific evidence in a form suitable for policy makers.

Using scientific knowledge and editing skills (accredited by the Australian Institute of Professional Editors), Becky led editorial teams and edited publications arising from large-scale interdisciplinary projects. Key roles included:- Project Coordinator, Great Artesian Basin Water Resource Assessment- Senior Editor, for concurrent Northern Australia Sustainable Yields Project, Tasmania Sustainable Yields Project and South-West Western Australia Sustainable Yields Project- Editor, Murray-Darling Basin Sustainable Yields Project
