Becky has been working in education and with children who have special needs, including children who are Deaf and hard-of-hearing, for close to 20 years now. She transitioned into the classroom in November of 2004 as she worked on her Masters in Elementary Education. Becky previously volunteered doing outreach for children in poverty, children's ministry and became involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She cherished her time as a “BIG,” and loves to inspire the youth to look beyond any perceived limitations, to set goals and work towards what was once thought unachievable. Becky is aspired to give all children equal opportunity in education and strives to build self-confidence and a "can do" attitude within her students despite any challenges they may face. Becky wants all her students to achieve success, both academically at school, as well as personally in their own lives and their community.
