I had the responsibility of actively guiding my team of 5 production managers focus on deliverables to ensure high performance and exceptional operational excellence was maintained. My role required the detailed planning and end to end control of all print and paper production activity across a wide range of weekly and monthly publications. This included creating schedules, forecasts and managing the online workflow system that reflected both the business needs and manufacturing requirements. A selection of the iconic brands that I have managed have included Woman & Home, Homes & Gardens, Country Life, Wallpaper* Nuts and NME. I liaised with both internal staff and external suppliers to ensure deadlines were met and budget restraints adhered to. Managing expectations and ensuring that supplier’s contractual obligations were being met through regular quality control meetings. I provided detailed estimates to the brand directors based on planned paginations and print orders for the year. This was key information for the teams to make informed decisions when creating their business plans.I supplied costings to the Advertising teams that enabled new business opportunities to be explored. When the estimates went live, I project managed the process to completion. Analysis work was integral to my role. Regularly reviewing production values and exploring where the most cost effective solutions could be made, while maintaining the quality and integrity of the brands.My role included deputising for the Production Director. This required liaising with senior management at board level within the business and with external suppliers.

Supporting and deputising for the Group Production Managers along with managing day to day pre-press, print and paper requirements across a wide range of brands including Nuts, Loaded, NME, Uncut, Country Life and Decanter.
