Becky Thorn Sietsma is a Associate Principal at Conflux. Colleagues describe her as "Becky works with continuous dedication and commitment to help the NKD Growers' Project succeed in providing income generation for underprivileged individuals and families. Through her time working in Rukungiri, she was immersed in the Ugandan culture and was able to balance her modern work philosophy with the work philosophy shown here. Her time on site included project orientation by traveling to the field on chili collection days and to construct solar chili dryers. Much of the office work included financial management and digitalizing accounts while she also managed to create a personnel management and administrative manual. Her personality to love and care for people was exemplified in her interactions with the beneficiaries. Becky has great faith in the project and an inspirational vision that it grows international in the organic and free trade markets worldwide providing a sustainable and reliable source of income."
