A committed, initiative-taking public librarian with sixteen years experience. Areas of expertise include supporting library needs and leadership, program development, technology education and integration, marketing, grant writing, and updating library facilities for function and welcoming atmosphere.I’m certified as a Public Sector Leader through Cornell University, and as a Notary Public and Professional Librarian through the state of Pennsylvania, with additional skills in organization, public speaking, and the use of a variety of technologies and software.In my current district consultant role, I support the 'bigger picture' of connection between libraries - providing care and facilitating collaboration for the Reading Library District libraries, and serving as a liaison between them and the state library.Previously I managed and made some key updates to Clymer Library. I've led the adult services and programs department at Parkland Community Library, where I was known for my initiative, practical problem-solving, and helpful demeanor. And I directed Lehighton Area Memorial Library for more than a decade, and ultimately developed a long-term financial stability plan that called for the redevelopment of my position and end of my tenure.
