• Responsible for daily shift operations and tasks.• Monitor plant performance on a daily basis by reviewing process variable trends, operating logs, quality results, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other sources of data to proactively identify operational issues & ensure operation excellence.• Ensure adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)• Proactively Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, quality, and process issues • Implement process improvements for assigned unit to improve safety, production reliability, raw material consumptions, first pass quality, plant capacity and plant operability• Responsible for production scheduling adherence & adherence to shipments• Train, coach and mentor Operations employees. Responsible for unit overview training (review of Process safety info, process procedures, and equipment training) with new hires & trainees. • Work with technical & reliability engineers to identify and plan removal of obsolete equipment as well as installation of new equipment to support capital projects• Lead and or contributed to the investigation of HSE incidents, Near-Miss incidents and Unit Upsets in assigned areas to determine root cause (RCI’s) and identify all appropriate corrective action to prevent reoccurrence (CAPA’s).• Maintain and enforce good housekeeping and keep the plant free from debris, spills and waste.• Skilled in LOTO, Safe Work, Hot Work, Hazard JSA’s, and observations for Behavioral based safety programs.• Experienced with batch reactions including Oxides (EO, PO, BO), Isobutylene, Sulfur, Maleic Anhydride, Ammonia, various acids/bases, filtration, blending processes, and utility operations.• Work in conjunction with cross functional departments of Leadership, HSE, Technical, Logistics, Maintenance, I&E and Quality to expedite processes.

•Implement, review and support all HSE policies and procedures at three locations. •Create and provide employee safety training to include new hire orientation, GHS, OSHA 10 and 30 hour, permit required confined space, fire extinguisher use, emergency response, fall protection, and all other trainings as required by federal and state regulations.•Maintain all required state and federal recording keeping – OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, Texas Tier II, DOT, and interact with regulatory agencies.•Review audits and inspections for accuracy and improvements.•Lead supervisors in the creation of JSAs and regular auditing of each for effectiveness and accuracy.•Provide training and support to supervisors on HSE policies, procedures, SOPs, and conducting investigations.•Maintain medical records in accordance with all HIPPA requirements.•Attending weekly production meetings for both side of the company to provide executive management with safety updates, concerns and propose improvments.•Schedule and conduct HSE audits of employees staffed at various customer locations as contract employees.•Lead a team of staff from various departments to implement all required changes to company MSDSs to comply with the new GHS rule.•Audit newly created SDS for accuracy and compliance to the GHS rule.•File work comp claims and work directly with medical provider and case adjuster in the effort to bring the case to a close in the least amount of time with the best possible outcome.•Creation of a first response team and provide training in CPR/first aid, Hazwoper 24 hour, and emergency response and conduct regular drills to maintain a high level of proficiency. •Manage and oversee contractor safety program.•Creation of daily safety tool box talks and supporting supervisors that provide the daily meeting.•Lead monthly safety meetings at each site with training on monthly safety topics.
