As the Assistant Director for the Kelley Business Honors Program, I work closely with the other staff and faculty on the Business Honors Team to aid with recruiting and admissions as well as planning co-curricular experiences. I serve as the lead advisor for Business Honors students, oversee the Honors Leadership Team student mentoring program, supports first year students enrolled in the Advanced Curricular Experience (ACE) program and assists in planning programs and activities for students in Honors and ACE.

In this role, I assess 4 - 6 student teacher portfolios per semester in alignment with state content standards and best practice pedagogy to recommend successful completion or needed remediation.

Responsible for advising students, systems data inputs and maintenance, and giving students career advice. Includes interactions with students and other stakeholders within the university, in addition to businesses and alumni, for information exchange and issues resolution. Assist students with all facets of the career search and preparation process including the resume and application process, interview skills, networking and internship possibilities.

As an adjunct instructor, I instructed 45 undergraduate students in the Career Development and Planning course ensuring their active engagement in the course content, successful completion of course assignments and assessments and completion of the course to fulfill O’Neill graduation requirements.

Work with IU athletes on all aspects of their academic requirements to ensure their success in the classes they take. Assist with tutoring, mentoring, advising students during their academic journey. Aid students with academic skills such as time management, organization, test preparation and note taking strategies.

I provided pre-service teachers an authentic experience in a classroom where they can apply and practice best educational practices and pedagogy. I monitored pre-service teacher progress and provide additional support and guidance for improvement as needed.
