Facilitating the First Give programme in schools - that inspires and equips secondary school students to engage with and support their local community through social action, while also developing essential soft skills including public speaking.First Give engages a whole year group in a fully-resourced, eight lesson programme. Students establish a social issue they care about, and plan and carry out social action to try and alleviate this in their local community. The students choose and meet with a local charity to find out about what they do.The programme culminates in a large event – our First Give facilitated School Final – where the groups of students aim to convince a panel of judges that their chosen charity deserves £1,000. The successful team wins £1,000 for their charity!

Led the Practice Solutions team to: - listen to the challenges and barriers faced by Young People in Rhyl to help them to have a voice in influencing how positive change can be created. -including an engagement tour of local schools and youth groups reaching 170 young people. Creation and rollout of engagement sessions including video creation to creatively hear what the young people had to say. - created a young person's steering group- designed a new service to tackle the issues- created a young persons report to feed back info to stakeholders and young people
