I currently work as as part of the NOC Team with EML Payments, a FinTech company. My job as a member of the NOC Team is ensuring continuity of service for our customers.I monitor servers, applications and databases using a variety of different tools, to proactively catch problems before they arise. These include New Relic, AppDynamics, Sumo Logic and Elastic Search. I'm also involved in deployments in conjunction with the DevOps and Dev teams to apply fixes and patches to our servers and applications.I was formerly a Junior Industrial IT Engineer in Danone Wexford, a fast paced food production environment. In this role I was responsible for the Industrial IT equipment on site. This included the procurement, maintenance and deployment of non standard IT equipment, using MDM (Microsoft Intune and Airwatch), assisting with the digital transformation journey in the factory, as well as bringing the factory up to Industry 4.0 standards.This role was customer facing, an area I am comfortable in due to previous retail and management experience, and requires a quick response and turnaround time for any issues with equipment, ensuring no down time in production. I am also familiar with both CLIO and ServiceNow ticketing systems. I graduated from IT Carlow with a BSc in Information Technology Management in 2020, where I obtained a 2:1 and I have achieved a Higher Certificate from the IT Carlow Wexford Campus in 2019, where I graduated with a distinction (75% GPA). In my course, I gained good knowledge of both system hardware and software, from building small networks using end and intermediary devices and configuring them, to programming using HTML5, CSS, PHP SQL, JavaScript and Java.
