ABRSM is a registered charity and examination board, and the world's leading authority on musical assessment; it provides and delivers 650k assessments per year via 1000+ paid/voluntary examiners and international representatives. Role is based in the Portfolio, Project & Programme Management & Delivery Department, focusing on improving exam delivery and increasing the beneficial impact of diverse change projects._________________________________________________► Established Change Management as a credible science across the business at all levels, due to results achieved and change management methodologies such as ADKAR and Prosci ► Engaged & recruited Change Champions from across the business via presentations & invitations ► Ensured key stakeholders from affected change areas were included from the outset of decisions, achieving engagement, addressing challenges, and preparing teams for process change ► Worked with the Corporate Communications Officer to develop FAQs and guidance documents► Devised a time-invested strategy to implement new brand guidelines & website streamlining – mobilising Brand Guardians, preparing staff for changes and establishing a change request process ► Developed staff briefing and devised launch for a significant department downsizing, working with experts and driving meaningful content & messaging that aided positive staff consultations

Safeguarding is #1 risk on ABRSM’s corporate risk register due to 90% of candidates being U18. A substantive position alongside other roles, driving safeguarding compliance and comprehensive adoption of child protection guidelines, policies and processes across the organisation, advising/training the Board & Senior Leadership Team, and building, leading and mentoring a Safeguarding team. _________________________________________________► Sourced an NSPCC consultant to translate the national safeguarding landscape into sustainable policies and procedures for <300 volunteers, 120 international representatives and 650 examiners ► Created robust policies and procedures, adopted across all areas of the business► Embedded a successful Safeguarding culture across the organisation via policies and comprehensive training programme, ensuring mandatory completion for probation success

Applying structured change frameworks and working alongside PwC consultants, led the representative aspect of the largest transformation in ABRSM history. Merged 120 international commission-based representatives and 300 UK volunteers with operational teams. Managed and progressed 7 operational specialists. _________________________________________________► Worked with consultants to devise strategies covering synergies/efficiencies, process automation (global CRM introduction), recruitment, communications, training, engagement and retention ► Directed design, facilitation and delivery of training conferences across the UK, Europe, USA, Africa and Southeast Asia – transforming conference engagement and attendance ► Directed digital change management activity (CRM implementation & conversion to online events)► Coached the wider organisation to analyse and adapt processes, and guided teams through change► Key role in renegotiating staff contracts and resolving conflict (essential in business continuity)

Significantly improved standards while leading recruitment, onboarding, training, communications and support for <300 UK volunteers who organised 300,000 exams per year.
