We were a contract furniture and furnishings supplier specialising in the Care and Healthcare Sector. We supplied furniture, soft furnishings, flooring, lighting, artwork, linen, and accessories. We also offered a range of design services including 2D space planning, 3D Visuals, Product Selection and interior design.I oversaw all aspects of the general management of the business including all staff management, sales and marketing strategy, design, project management and finance. I managed a team of 3, plus a number of sub contractors, and ensured projects were carried out to plan and sales targets were met.

I was responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and following them up, the complete interior design of the scheme, and presenting to the client. I was also responsible for seeing the entire project through from start to finish.

The company are a well known global manufacturer of high end office furniture and are widely regarded to be the best in the market. Herman Miller manufacture a range of ergonomic and design lead desking, seating, storage and accessories including the world famous “Aeron” chair. I cover the South West and South Wales.I was responsible for managing and supporting a network of dealers who specify and sell Herman Miller products. It was my role to assist the dealers in selling our products and generating business. This includes training their sales force on product knowledge, helping them to generate leads in major blue chip companies, visiting their customers to sell the products and hosting client visits to our showrooms. The role involves a high degree of technical product knowledge, combined with the personality and understanding to build good working relationships with the dealers and clients alike.In my final year I had an annual business target of £1.5m which I achieved. The previous year I had a £1.3m target and achieved 105% of target. I worked with a broad range of public and private sector clients, blue chip global corporates and SME’s including Matthew Clark, Department of Transport, ITV, The Home Office, Direct Wines, and Cramer.
