In business and in life, design is everything. I believe we can all create spaces to inspire, create impact, and to have fun. I started iBec Creative (ibeccreative.com) the day after graduating from the University of Southern Maine in 2006. I grew up in Massachusetts, but I fell in love with Portland as my future home to my company and my life. Early on, I taught myself web development, design, and digital marketing - ultimately the building blocks of our agency today. In 2010, I combined forces with Mark Girr to start my second company, iKNO Intranet (iknointranet.com), a social intranet software designed for companies between 50 and 500 employees that need an easy and intuitive way to communicate online.A few years later, I felt a calling to design something with my hands. I created Wildwood Oyster Co. (wildwoodoysterco.com) in 2018 to do just that. Inspired by salt air, Wildwood Oyster Co. is immediately recognized for its unique bags. These made in Maine minimalist boho bags combine the our signature raw materials of leather, dock line rope, and bright industrial brass.Over the years I’ve been honored to be featured in Business Week's Top 25 Entrepreneurs 25 and Under, awarded the Small Business Administration's Young Entrepreneur of the Year, was a TEDx speaker, and a recipient of the Stevie Women in Business Award.Today, at iBec Creative, I employ a full team of amazing, kind, and talented employees at our full-service marketing agency in downtown Portland, Maine. With over 150+ years of combined industry experience across our team and over 500 websites launched, we’ve helped hundreds of brands thrive. We are a Certified B Corporation, with our purpose to act locally to create momentum for a healthy global environment guiding the way. And, today at Wildwood Oyster Co., we’re bringing people to the water, no matter where they are.In business and in life, adventure is beautiful!
