I am beginning the process of fundraising, planning, building and continual maintenance of Calvin's House, a not-for-profit no-kill cat shelter dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned cats, as well as educating the public and adopting our four-legged friends. Over four million cats are euthanized yearly, almost 8 per minute. This does not even begin to address the ferrel cats that live a dreadful existence outdoors that, on average, only survive one year before dying of hunger, disease or being killed by other animals or humans. Our facility will house and care for cats, have full veterinary services to get our cats healthy as well as offer cost-only spay and neuter services. We will run a catch and release program for feral cats to sterilize them and address any contagious illnesses. We plan to utilize the Internet to adopt out our animals to any part of the country. Also, we will offer educational programs in schools and at our facility to help children understand our four legged friends need just as much love and patience as a two legged friend. We will conduct fundraisers, process grant requests, and sell art, jewelry and other items for additional revenue. We will have conference rooms in our facility as another revenue source. Of course, we will be seeking corporate partners to help with good, litter and other supplies. This process will be ongoing, but we hope to break ground by summer 2019.

Responsible for recruiting and selecting store associates, ensuring store and staff image standards, maintaining inventory, conducting store audits, and all other managerial functions. • Led sweeping change in store personnel, yielding a more customer service oriented group focused on increasing sales and reducing debt. • Reduced district debt from 5.8% to under 1.1% in less than six months, while simultaneously increasing sales 121% over the previous year. • Promoted to Regional Operations Manager in 8 months.

District Manager and Supervisor of 12 UPS Store (Mail Boxes, Etc.) locations receiving & shipping $25M in customer items annually, while also managing 96 residential homes, with a combined annual income of $11M. Full responsibility for all business-related decisions including employment decisions; claims management and loss prevention; planning and conducting employee meetings; daily, weekly, monthly and yearly accounting; customer service; community relations; advertising; legal matters; analyzing company data to ensure continued profitability. • Led single location from annual sales of $80k to over $500k in less than five years.• Three locations awarded Bronze or Silver Eagle Awards for increasing sales while providing outstanding customer service. • Created procedures for negotiating, acquiring, renovating, leasing, and managing properties, as well addressing tenant issues to include rent collection, response to property damage and mechanical problems, and eviction when necessary.
