I conduct interviews, consult on community engagement workshops, and support service design for private and public sector clients. Examples include working on an experiment in human-centered policy design by interviewing people for a report called "Pandemic Unemployment and the Social Safety Net" with the National Conference on Citizenship.

Currently studying human-computer interaction with a focus on family-centric design. Working in the Computing for Healthy Living & Learning Lab (CHILL), directed by Julie Kientz, Ph.D.The CHILL at the University of Washington consists of researchers interested in designing, developing, and evaluating applications of computing technology that aim to promote healthy lifestyles and education. We design and develop mobile, persuasive, and collaborative technologies with the goal of helping with record-keeping, review, and motivation to pursue health and educational goals of individuals, families, and teachers. The lab functions as a design and development environment, a place to run usability studies of our new technologies, and a student work space.

This work is a continuation from my role with project managing the 2018 Make the Breast Pump Not Suck Hackathon, affiliated with the MIT Media Lab and supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. My colleagues and I are working to catalyze an inclusive and intersectional movement in breastfeeding innovation. Most recently, we co-produced the Detroit Birth and Breastfeeding Hackathon.
