Tasks included owning the process from start to finish – leading cross functional team meetings, managing outside and freelance designers, prototyping, patterning, testing, sketching, creating specification packages, evaluating samples, sourcing all trims and fabric, and follow through to production. Worked with various designers to measure garments for spec packages, create garment drawings in Illustrator, develop plaids in Pointe Carre and work with colors in Photoshop on a daily basis.

Liaison between NPG Product Merchandisers and Nordstrom buyers. Participated in buy meetings, keyed buys using Microsoft Excel and Flex PLM, addressed and revised any issues with our overseas partners and factories.

Started out as a summer intern, and participated in buy meetings and internship meetings, while also experiencing sales and management on the Salon Shoe floor. From that role, I moved into the assistant management position where I helped organize and coach a 15+ person sales team and utilized such programs as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
