This was a temporary position. I was hired to sell the company's website development and internet related products and services. I had the opportunity to recommend and explore innovative marketing channels, and to design the firm's corporate image and brochures. My 15+ years in the computer industry and my enthusiasm for selling came really handy for this endeavor.

It gave me the opportunity to polish my sales, coaching, and leadership skills, learn a few new tricks, and become more of an engaging and dynamic presenter. This was a fun place to work, and facing challenges such as designing the most comprehensive sales training in the industry was a prefect opportunity to use my creativity, resourcefulness, and entrepreneurial spirit.The opportunity to be the subject matter expert in marketing financial services to Hispanics in the U.S. allowed me to develop expertise in that area, and to use my MBA specialization in marketing and my formal and natural knowledge of the Hispanic culture to help all other areas of the firm in their efforts to target this financially underserved segment.

On my way to the U.S.A., immigrating from Mexico, I stopped temporarily in the border city of Ciudad Juarez (Yes, you've heard of the crimes that have made this small city famous worldwide.) I worked teaching Economy and Finances to their MBA students. I enjoyed it tremendously, and was unanimously evaluated as an excellent professor.

I enjoyed holding leadership positions with Network Group for over 13 years. Along with the great team of 30 employees + 35 contractors (on average) I supervised, we trained, each year, between 25,000 and 30,000 employes of government agencies and private firms, in over 45 cities throughout Mexico. I participated in the needs analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of their corporatewide computer training. Some of the organizations who hired our company to train their personnel were Mexican Petroleum (Pemex), Nestle, Gillette, General Foods, Mexican Electric Company, and the five largest Mexican banks (BBA Bancomer, Banamex, Banco del Atlantico, Banca Cremi, Banco Serfin) .I lead Network Group to become Microsoft Certified as "Solution Provider", "MS Strategic Partner" and "MS Authorized Government Provider", which helped us increase sales by 200%. I also implemented and supervised strategies to expand yearly software sales up to $2,000,000, consistently exceeding Microsoft's sales goals and therefore gaining special rebates. I also negotiated unsecured revolving credit lines over $700,000 with the major computer wholesalers in the country, therefore eliminating inventory and financing costs.
