For most of my career I have worked in a fast-paced office environment where a cool head and unruffled attitude was essential. My proactive and organised approach to working, along with being highly numerate with an excellent attention to detail, means that meticulous record-keeping is second nature. This has been applied to the comprehensive intervention records I have kept. Frequently I have been required to handle sensitive and private data so respect that any information regarding personal details of children or staff should be handled with complete confidentiality. I also have a good understanding of the data protection act and the importance of upholding these standards across all aspects of personal and professional life. I am confident dealing with all levels of management and staff, liaising with parents and governors and have built great relationships with my colleagues. Working closely with the class teacher I have learnt and implemented techniques for pupil discipline and used my own conduct to model appropriate behaviour. I have not been afraid to step up and am practical in difficult situations, showing empathy where appropriate and supporting pupil well-being. I have further developed my knowledge of working with children, achieving Level 3 Learning Support Assistant. The majority of my career has been about reducing costs so I have an appreciation for streamlining processes to save time and effort and I have a proven track record of adapting to shifting priorities to achieve this. I embrace change and enjoy the opportunity to try different ideas and learn new skills.
