This position is responsible for managing general accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial statement reconciliations), program accounting (the financials of all funded programs through SVDP by analyzing and preparing reports and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures), financial reporting and financial compliance. This position also manages the Accounting staff and oversees their responsibilities.

This position is responsible for maintaining timely and accurate accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting and financial statement reconciliations. Additional responsibilities includes the finances of all SVDP grant programs and provides Conference Treasury support by analyzing and preparing reports and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.

Monitor program and fiscal requirements related to grant implementation and management. Liaison between Program and Accounting staff to ensure budgetary responsibilities. Analyze program profit and loss monthly confirming fiduciary compliance. Ensure fiscal compliance with the following measures: audit requirements, CFDA, grant requirements and SVDP accounting programs. Audit program files/reports to help identify and decrease the risk of discrepancies within grant and financial management. Coordinate with Federal Audit team members to help maintain a cohesive audit approach for the annual Federal Circular A-122, Circular A-133 and Circular A-110.Accomplishments: Approve monthly revenue and expenses for 24 non-profit programs  Develop program and fiscal compliance tools based on the program’s funding sources Produce and develop compliance reports for all levels of compliance per program, issues noted/resolved and recommendations to fiscal program staff Intricate role in the infrastructure ensuring successful A133 & Agency audits in 2009 & 2010 Collaborate with Program Coordinator’s on the educational process when grant funding is awarded to assist in the implementation of the grant

Conducted formal operational audits at retail locations across the nation, to identify and eliminate risk in the areas of cash, inventory, human resources, fraud, point of sale activity and loss prevention. Audited adherence to Company policies, procedures and Sarbanes Oxley guidelines. Reviewed monthly cash processing, inventory management, and demo phone compliance activities to identify inefficiencies.
