Becky Winslow is an accomplished Doctor of Clinical Pharmacy and a pharmacogenomics subject matter expert. Before her career as a pharmacogenomics medical science liaison and director of clinical affairs in the diagnostic laboratory testing industry, Dr. Winslow directed pharmacy business operations and clinical pharmacy programs for Walmart Stores, Community Health Systems, and Neil Medical Group. Dr. Winslow excels at developing and managing collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to stay abreast of emerging diagnostic testing and pharmaceutical industry trends and achieve medical strategy and clinical franchise success. Dr. Winslow has consulted on several notable pharmacogenomics endeavors including, authoring two PGx payer databases and medical necessity based billing and coding algorithms; co-authoring a clinical pharmacogenomics knowledge base and clinical decision support tool; training the consultant pharmacists in the "Know Your Rx Coalition" at the University of Kentucky; consulting as a pharmacogenomics' medical necessity expert for the attorneys representing the defendant PGx laboratory in a Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse investigation; consulting for Cedarville University School of Pharmacy to create their Pharmacogenomics Excellence Program; pioneering a “Lunch and Learn” PGx medical science education program; and leading the project to integrate pharmacogenomics into Apollo Vanguard's suite of employee benefits. Dr. Winslow is frequently recruited to author and present on clinical and economic PGx topics. Most recently she presented for the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy and the Inovolan Customer Congress. Dr. Winslow authored several COVID-19 white papers, including “Pharmacogenomics: A Proposed Tool to Achieve Better COVID-19 Outcomes in Patients with Chronic Disease Who are Prescribed Medications” and “COVID-19 Associated Coagulopathies and the Medications with Pharmacogenomics Associations that are Used to Mitigate Them”. Dr. Winslow is an APPE preceptor for Manchester University School of Pharmacy PharmD/Masters in PGx students and a registered trainer for the Test2Learn(TM) Community Pharmacogenomics Certificate Program. Dr. Winslow is also a member of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium, the Get the Medications Right Institute, NCPDP PGx Task Force, and the IDSP.When she isn't advocating for the appropriate use of pharmacogenomics, Dr. Winslow enjoys hiking mountains, bicycle riding, and photography.
