With over 30 year of experience and a multifaceted career, Brazilian-American A&R and music producer, Dranoff is an independent and innovative creative connector, originating internationally recognized artistic projects and pro-social initiatives. Credits include work on Grammy and Oscar nominated projects, label founder, A&R, music supervisor, documentarian, festival curator, radio producer, DJ and branded content developer. With a bachelors degree in Radio & TV / Mass Communications from FAAP University, Dranoff relocated to New York in 1988 to found ARTmosphere, Inc. and tour manage Brazilian greats Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso and Margarteh Menezes. In 1994, joins the Red Hot Organization co-producing the HIV/AIDS benefit compilations Red Hot + Rio, Red Hot + Lisbon and Red Hot + Rio 2. Dranoff is co-founder of the Ziriguiboom label with Belgium’s Crammed Discs launching the career of singer Bebel Gilberto co-producing her three Grammy nominated albums. Music supervision includes Oscar nominated How To Survive a Plague (D.France, Sundance, 2012), Next Stop Wonderland (B. Anderson, Miramax, 1998). Compilations include Novabossa, Best Of Os Mutantes with D. Byrne, Chico Science Remixes and SambaSoul70! Brands: Clinton Foundation, Smoking Rolling Paper and Swarovski. In 2009 Dranoff and director Guto Barra release award-winning documentary Beyond Ipanema at MoMA’s Brazil Film Festival also screened at SXSW, HotDocs and Chicago Festival, and generating a 23 episode series co-produced with Canal Brasil (GloboSat). Curatorial events: NY's Brasil Summerfest, Lisbon’s Expo ’98 Red Hot + Lisbon live, Red Hot + Rio live at BAM (2008) and MOMA's Brazilian Summer. As LatAm Director for for Empire Entertainment, Dranoff managed events during Rio’s 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games for Coca-Cola, Sony and Panasonic and co-produced 2014’s ‘Meet In Beijing’ Latin Festival for China's Arts & Entertainment Group. As Music Selector performed at NY Fashion Week, Central Park SummerStage, Lincoln Center’s Out-Of-Doors, SXSW, and Sydney Festival. Conferences: Abu Dhabi Culture Summit Womex, TEDX Salon NY, SIM SP, Rio Music Market. Dranoff produced Brazilab radio show for Spain’s Radio Gladys Palmera from 2017-2022. In 2020, co-produces the humanitarian campaign Brasil Andar Com Fé, featuring original videos from stars such as Carlinhos Brown and Elza Soares promoting donations to fight Covid-19. in 2022 co-founded indie label Brasil Discos with partner Felippe Llerena focused on 'Global Brazilian Music and in 2023 is invited to be a co-founder of RockCorps in Brazil.
