My role as an Employment Advisor in the welfare to work sector included coaching and supporting individuals into sustainable employment. This role requires many personal skills and qualities - being empathetic and understanding of others' situations, identifying vulnerable individuals and offering them the correct support and guidance they require along with safeguarding, strong diary management, extensive customer service skills and strong administration experience. During this time, I have also been trained on identifying and reporting any safeguarding concerns or incidents, ensuring information is processed in accordance with GDPR laws.

I previously held a personal assistant position for a non-verbal teenage boy with complex learning difficulties including being on the Autism spectrum. A key aspect of this role included fast-paced decision making in stressful situations due to the unpredictability of the client's needs. I would assist the client in home-based care and would also be in charge of activities outside of the home. A critical part of this job was to initially create a bond between myself and the client to ensure there was trust in my ability to help.
