Developed the training program for assigned facility and updated it as improvements were made and suggestions deemed a better overall product. Ensured all controllers met the physical and safety standards necessary for performing Air Traffic duties. Maintained custodial control of all facility forms, records, and publications and ensured their accuracy, completeness and distribution. Maintained 100% accountability and serviceability of all assigned equipment in excess of 1 million dollars with rigid adherence to property book management.

Renovated the facility’s training manual used by more than 8 assigned traffic controllers consisting of annual updates and deleting invalid information to maintain currency within all regulations. Uphold training records, flight physicals and weather certificates of 8 traffic controllers, ensuring all were in accordance with Army/FAA regulations resulting in successful Command Inspection. Provided insight and knowledge for 4 local aviation units during weekly meetings, which accommodated the safe, orderly and expedition airflow of various types of aircraft. Developed local course material, training aids, and controller training scenarios to supplement and enhance the facilities training plans.

In charge of 8+ peers, delegating tasks so all work was completed on time and to correct standards. Conducted preventative maintenance on all facility systems, subsystems and equipment. Recorded and reported outages and took action to correct discrepancies all in order to maintain safe operation of assigned equipment. Maintained 100% accountability of all aircraft operating in HUB Radio’s Airspace. Assisted in the recovery of aircraft in distress by passing information along to emergency services and coordinating between downed aircraft and emergency representatives.

Desiderio Tower, Camp Humphreys, South Korea

Utilized 1 runway and 9 helipads to provide spacing and sequencing for fixed and rotary wing aircraft totaling more than 170,000 safe aircraft movements every year. Evaluates an analyzes the capabilities and progress of assigned personnel for position qualification and facility certification. Direct and coordinate air traffic, collect and issue clearances, monitor all aircraft movements and maintain computerized records of all activities. Ensure the safe, orderly ad expeditious flow of air traffic in the class D airspace.
