CurrentSummary: - Direct and coordinate as advised and directed by management and executive, all the staff and activities under the Hatchery, Ponds, Broodstock Management and Fish Feeding departments.Key Responsibilities: -• Supervising the breeding and harvesting schedules and monitoring the health of the fish•Supervising and training the staff who feed fish and clean holding tanks and nets.•Making sure hygiene standards are high, to prevent diseases.•Checking that the water quality and oxygen levels are right for the fish.•Keeping records of the numbers and size of fish to aid in decision making.•Ensuring the orders for equipment, chemicals and fish feed are of the right quality and quantity.•Assisting the management in carrying out research into fish farming methods and techniques as may be required from time to time.Notable Achievements: -•Led a team of slightly over 100 subordinate staff to achieve a survival rate of nursery fingerlings from 70% to 92% within 6 months.•Increased the tilapia egg yields from 3g/m2 to 4.5g/m2 within 3 months by ensuring all parameters are correct.•Improved Feed Conversion Ratio from 1.1 to 0.6 within 3 months by analyzing the growth rate and feed consumption data to formulate correct and required feed ratios.
